What do you do on a typical day?

I do a variety of jobs: dealing with invoice queries, chasing up cash payments and order numbers; inputting work from job sheets to invoice; keeping track of job sheets on electronic system; checking paperwork has all information as required by customers; supporting the depots with admin work; liaising with customers/employees via email and phone; monitoring stock checks and processing invoices for purchase orders and any other queries that pop up during a typical day.

What is it about this job that you love?

I really do enjoy administration; the work is so varied and along with the people I work with and support from colleagues. Travelling to the depots to offer support and training, everyone is friendly. This all adds up to an enjoyable working experience. Also being appreciated and feeling valued within this role is a nice feeling.

Why do you think someone should come and work at Hydroscand?

It is a great company to work for, lots of training and support. A really nice environment to work in.

Hydroscand was founded in 1969 in Stockholm, Sweden. Today we are a global provider of services and solutions for hoses, fittings and related needs. We work innovatively and customer-driven and we strive to always find solutions that help our customer increase their efficiency and profitability. With operations in 18 countries, more than 260 hose service branches, over 140 HoseExpress service vans and 500 resellers we are always strategically positioned to support our customers’ operations.

Hydroscand established in the UK in 2002 with two Hydraulic and Industrial Centres. The business has grown significantly and now offers eleven trade counters and thirty mobile hose workshops, supported by a central warehouse in Nottingham. In 2022, we celebrated our twentieth anniversary in the UK and have ambitious plans to continue this growth in the coming years.
